Revolver will always remind me of my brother. It has been his favorite Beatles album for as long as I can remember and the first one that he got on vinyl. One Christmas Jack got a record player, speakers, and Revolver. He was so excited and had to set it all up as soon as we were done opening gifts. We went upstairs and set it all up in his room, and put the record on. We did that a lot, and I would always hear him up there listening to music, usually Revolver because it was one of the few records he had on vinyl. “Taxman” was always his favorite song off of the album so whenever I hear that song I think of him.
“Eleanor Rigby” is my second favorite Beatles song of all time if not my favorite, its hard to know with this band. I remember always debating my friends in high school about what the best Beatles song is and we could usually come to an agreement, or at least a compromise that this was the best one. Another song that is amazing to listen to loud, there are so many layers to it, that on good speakers it sounds absolutely amazing. Overall, this album makes me think of friends, and my brother, mostly my brother.
