“Help” is a 1965 album by the Beatles and although was not really one that I remember listening to all the time it was still one that played in our house a fair amount when I was a kid. It was part of my Dad’s record collection and thats why I added it to this list. The song “Help” was always just a sort of dance tune to me. It was up beat and made you want to move. Just this last year, my Junior year of college, I took a class about the history of the Beatles and realized that this song was literally a cry for help from John. I don’t know why I never realized it because it is so obvious, its in the name. I still think this could have been done on purpose. I think John felt that nobody actually cared for him so he wrote a song crying for help just to prove that people wouldn’t really listen to him anyway.
Even though This wasn’t one that was played all the time like “Rubber Soul” or “Revolver” there are still some classics on here that we listened to a lot even if it wasn’t on the record player. “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away” for example, or “Act Naturally.” These were the ones that I always liked. The one that really stuck with me was “Yesterday” as I think it does with most people.
